Testing and Assessment

Testing and assessment is conducted for all persons interested in securing Workforce Investment Act (WIA) funding for training. All testing and assessment is conducted on-site at the PA CareerLink Lackawanna County at 135 Franklin Avenue in downtown Scranton, PA. Currently, a computerized testing system (TABE - Testing of Adult Basic Education) is utilized for all clients. Anyone having difficulty with this type of testing format may be evaluated by WIA staff to determine if an alternate testing method is more appropriate. Any/all assessment of individualized needs are conducted in a private, one-on-one setting by trained Customer Service Representatives/CareerLink Specialists.
