
The Lackawanna County WIB, through its staff, provides a link to business and industry for the purpose of encouraging engagement in industry partnership initiatives and coordinating the distribution of workforce training dollars. Coordinating with local training providers, collaborating in the development of training curriculums and career-ladder models, providing access to labor market information and data, serving as a clearing house for dissemination of workforce information and available funding opportunities are activities that augment this role.

All of these services are provided by through the WIB's operational arm - the PA CareerLink Lackawanna County. Governed by the Board's CareerLink Consortium of Operators, all services are customer-oriented and are geared to "employment ready" concepts.
